MURPHY ENVIRONMENTAL SPONSORS HOME-BUILDING PROJECT IN THE PHILIPPINES

Cillian Byrne is part of a team of 18 volunteers from the charity HABITAT FOR HUMANITY travelling to the Philippines in August 2006. 40% of the Philippine's 80 million people live below the poverty line, with an estimate of 4.2 million families in need of decent shelter. The volunteers will undertake a house-building project for the benefit of the local community.

With our 'foundations' in building, building products and recycling those products after their useful lives, this project struck a particular chord with Murphy Concrete Manufacturing and Murphy Environmental. We were delighted, therefore, to become the chief sponsor of the initiative and wish the team every success with their August trip.
